SHINER ONE HUNDRED

BRIEF:

Celebrate Shiner’s 100th birthday.

SOLVE:

We launched 100 bottle rockets out of Shiner bottles at the brewery, and created a video to commemorate it. We also made a series of posters/print ads to celebrate the brewery & towns rich history.

BREWERY WORKER CAMPAIGN

BRIEF:

Shiner is a small Texas town defined by the brewery of the same namesake. Long before the Instagrams and Facebooks of the world, we wanted to tell the story and personality of brewery and the people who work there.

SOLVE:

A poster campaign that still lives on today, almost a decade later.

AUSTIN CITY LIMITS 2006

BRIEF:

Heineken is the sponsor of Austin City Limits, and has a monopoly on the beer sales within the festival. How do we make the hometown beer the unofficial sponsor with no money.

SOLVE:

We printed koozies that looked exactly like Shiner cans and passed them out outside the festival gates. Festival goers slipped them over their Heineken cans to keep them cold in the Texas heat, making them look like Shiners. Unfortunately, we couldn’t change the taste.

AUSTIN CITY LIMITS 2007

BRIEF:

Heineken is the sponsor of Austin City Limits, and has a monopoly on the beer sales within the festival. How do we make the hometown beer the unofficial sponsor with no money.

SOLVE:

We created the Foreign Beer Exchange outside the festival gates. Pee out the foreign beer you drank in the festival, and get a free cold Shiner to drink to take its place.
